Developing a Unique Satchel Diary For Ted Baker Employees

Challenge

Fashion brand Ted Baker were looking to produce a bespoke diary that would encapsulate the essence of their brand, whilst providing an essential tool for daily planning and time management for their employees.

Having developed three creative design concepts, the print production team at Ted Baker approached a wide variety of suppliers to source quotes for their tailored diary. Due to the complexities of the desired products the team had struggled to find a supplier who could deliver on their project and were soon put in touch with Penstripe via a shared contact.

After reviewing the creative design concepts and due to their extensive experience in producing bespoke notebooks and diaries, the team at Penstripe were confident they could meet the challenge and provide a first-class diary based on the concepts provided.

Solution

Taking the initial design concepts, Penstripe developed a range of prototypes for review. The prototypes included a variety of material options, assorted colour schemes and design styles for each of the three concepts.

On receiving the prototype for a satchel style diary, the team at Ted Baker were particularly excited due to its uniqueness and product quality and were keen to quickly proceed to production.

Following approval, the complex product went through the robust Penstripe manufacturing and quality testing process before 4,000 satchel diaries were delivered to employees at the Ted Baker Head Office and key stores all over the world.

From conception to delivery, Penstripe were able to produce and deliver the diaries within 10 weeks and managed to come in under the specified budget.
With overwhelmingly positive feedback from employees it goes without saying the creative and print team were delighted with the services they received.
